well i'm looking around me... it's authentic, but not really romantic (even if i can see the eiffel tower) !!

think you shd buy some old posters of paris and some french food and beverage...
a romantic movie just like "amélie"...

music :
- "amélie poulain" (soundtrack)
- Carla Bruni (Quelqu'un m'a dit - album)
- keren ann - la disparition
- Adrienne Pauly - J'veux un mec
- Anaïs - Mon cœur mon amour
- Emily Loizeau - Je suis jalouse
- Pink Martini - Je ne veux pas travailler...........

Sue - please tell me where you heard that you could see the Eiffel Tower from every hotel room in Paris. That's the biggest myth I've heard so far.

Play French music, wine, candles and fine food and you're there. Put some lace curtains on the window and make sure you have a baguette on the table. Make it very intimate and cosy and you should do alright.

Starbucks: Sells French "cafe" CDs.
Target: Sells large photographs of the Eiffel Tower and other sites in Paris

Otherwise....let's see...
Make the table in the room into a cafe table, maybe a candle, a flower, buy some croissants and chocolates and wine to put on the table
finding quotes about love (amour) in french, printing them out with scripty-fonts and placing them around the room?
Occitane en Provence sells nice French soaps, lotions , etc. you could put those in the bathroom!

bonne chance! (good luck!)

Have French pastries, chocolates, and champagne set up in the room.

Put up posters of the Eiffel Tower, (because, as you know, it can be seen from EVERY hotel room in Paris) Put it over the window. You can pick them up, framed, in the poster shop at any mall, for not too much, then take it home with you when you leave.

That's all I can think of right off the top of my head. If I come up with more, I'll return.

Get a dog to take a dump right outside of your door. Pay a bum to pee in your street. Be sure to smoke a cigar right before she comes over.

Get some dogs to foul the floor.

Inflate a heap of French Letters and hang em up as decoration. Get your Girlfriend a French Maids oufit and then chase her around the room giving her French Kiss'
If she happens to break something, get it wrapped in plaster of Paris.
