I'm in the northwest, what's the cheapest way? Easy Jet from London? A ferry over? What's a budget way to travel over north France while i'm there aswell, train?...
well i'm french, i can tell u that today ( tuesday ) i hear that there would be a general strike tomorow, that the president will try to find a solution to end this stupid problem, but today, only 25% of train personnals refused to work, but on 26th they will be less, maybe the strike wil be over, but dont worry, there is a "minimum service", so u wil have a train for sure even if the strike is still on. personnally i think that all will be over on 26th.
bye

The strike is fast fading but, if it should still be going on, inquire at the Eurolines bus office (in the rue St. Jacques) about a bus to Lyon.

I don't think the strike will last till then but in case it did, you can also choose carpooling (covoiturage). People post their ads on
http://covoiturage.fr/
Lyon also has an airport and sometimes you can get a really cheap flight.
