Eiffel tower - it's an icon... see the lights from the nearby Hilton hotel's bar/restaurant on it's upper floor

Landmarks - Notre Dame - so that you can see what people are talking about...Musee de Louvre - ditto... Arc d'Triomphe... ditto

Walk the Marais - the oldest neighborhood in Paris... experience the cool shops and neighborhood eateries

Musee d'Orsay - impressionist art in a cool converted train station

Stroll the Seine - take a leisurely walk along the Seine... half day at least and then picnic near the Notre Dame or the Tuilleries

Walk the Boulevard St. Germain - a main Paris artery that gives you an urban sense...

Explore the Latin quarter... the historic and much hyped cafe and restaurant lined streets

See the city lights come on from Sacre Coure... as the sun goes down, Paris lights up

Experience a local market - there's usually a 'farmer's market' that you can find... check out the seasonal produce and grab some cheese and a baguette for lunch

Ice skate at Les Halles... if you're there in the winter

1. Most beautiful view of the city + Eiffel Tour is from the top of the Arc de Triomph. You can climb the stairs, or there's actually an elevator you can take.. look at the back left of the inside of the arch. The door isn't marked, but it opens every so often.

2. Rodin museum. Simply amazing - admire his sculptures as you stroll around the garden on a nice day, enjoying an ice cream.

3. Cluny museum. This is the museum of the middle ages, and houses some amazing pieces of art and artifacts. The original heads of the kings from Notre Dame are here.

4. Picnic on the steps of the Sacre Coeur on Montmatre. Careful with bread, though, the birds will eat it out of your hand. Lots of people gather here to drink wine and enjoy the sunset view of the city.

5. Just about any restaurant where you can experience true French cuisine. Something like duck confit, mussels, yum!

6. Pere Lachaise cemetary. It's free, and you will be amazed. Get a guidebook about it before you go - it is astounding how many people are buried here - Jim Morrison, Balzac, Delacroix, Victor Hugo, and so many more.

7. View of the Eiffel Tour from the C line (toward Montigny, as you cross the Seine)

8. After visiting Notre Dame, climb the steps to the top and see the gargoyles up close. Think of Quasimodo and Esmaralda.

9. Jardin des Tuileries. If you're there on a Sunday, be sure to watch the men playing Boules. So very French!

10. Tie: Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. I prefer the Orsay for the impressionist art, but most want to see the famous works of art at the Louvre.

LRANGELS
1. Visit and take a picture of the Eifel Tower.
2. Visit and take a picture of the view of Paris from the Eifel Tower.
3. Visit and take a picture or Arc de Triomphe while taking a walk at Champs Elysses.
4. See the Paris lights at night 'cuz Paris is known as the city of lights.
5. Try French cuisine, I mean authentic French cuisine.
6. Try some authentic French wine along with the authentic French cuisine.
7. Try to prove that French people are not snubbish.
8. Enjoy the Paris nightlife.
9. Since I'm trying to have the finest or authentic French cuisine, I might as well go for some restaurant hopping.
10. Do some shopping although I've heard it's expensive or catch a fashion show.

I just gave this in no particular order except for one and two.
