Better to fly on a budget airline

jamesbrownontheroad
It'll cost a bit more than a cheap flight, but the most comfortable, stress-free and environmentally friendly way to travel is by overnight train.

Train 260/360 departs Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof at 22h50 and arrives in Paris at 06h54. Train 261/361 departs Paris Est at 22h45 and arrives in Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof at 07h02. The train carries first and second class couchettes and sleepers, in cabins for two, four or six people. Female passengers travelling along can reserve a female only cabin. There's a snack service, but no restaurant, since you depart late enough to be able to eat before you leave and have breakfast at your destination.

For a round trip originating in Germany, you can buy your ticket in person or on the phone. To plan your trip, go online to DB.

http://www.bahn.de/p/view/international/englisch/international_guests.shtml (in English)

For a trip originating in France, you can buy your tickets online at

http://www.voyagessncf.fr/ (in French)

click on the little Union Flag at the bottom left of the homepage for the English website.
