It depends on where you are in the United States. If you are in the Eastern Standard Time (6 hours behind France) zone, it will be 23h30 (that's how times are written in french, it means 11:30pm) In the Central European Time zone (which France is in). If you're in the Central Standard Time zone (7 hours behind France), it will be 0h30 (12:30am) in France. If you find yourself in teh Mountain Standard Time zone (8 hours behind France), it will be 01h30 in France. If you happened to be located in the Pasific Standard Time zone (9 hours behind France), it would be 02h30 in France.
When I went to France, I found that the best time for people at home (Toronto, EST) to contact me, or for me to contact them, was just before their dinner. At about 4:30-5:00. It would be 10:30-11:00 for me, and I would be finished my day and be back at the "apart'hĂ´tel". If she is grumpy when you call her at 11:30, you may want to try earlier... |

France is six hours ahead of the United States’ or Canada’s Eastern Time Zone. So in New York or Montreal if it is noon, it is 6 p.m. in France. In L.A. or Vancouver the difference is nine hours. France does observe Daylight Savings Time, and they usually set their clocks forward approximately one week before the U.S. To see the current time in France, check out WorldTimeServer.com.
SO IT WOULD BE 11:30 Pm in France

11:30 pm - there's a 6 hour time difference. The french go to bed early, call before 2pm your time. Their social hours are very different from ours. Ask her what time is best for her. |
