I am American, but since this is yahoo answers, I'll answer anyway. IMHO, the best dressed women in Europe are in Geneva, Switzerland. They just have a special style, are smartly dressed and not overwhelmed by the clothes (you notice the person, not just the dress). Women in Paris are sharp dressers too. With men, it's a little harder because almost all men wear shirts, pants and neckties. But the men in Milan, Italy are sharp dressers. In every country, you can find sharp dressers, but I was just giving some general impressions. In Germany, the men wear sport coats of colors that you won't see in other countries. Those sport coats stand out (some are attractive, some not). |

This is a loaded question because the French will rarely say anything good about the English, who are clearly better dressed than the Dutch or Germans. I just broke my rule; I am French and I just complimented how the English dress!
Just added: Inconnaissable above me just said the English are original. Nothing of the sort. Like most Island people they learn to perfect other peoples ideas but rarely come up with their own. For example English rock music has American roots, yet they have done good things with it. |

well, each country fashion has its own cultural roots ! difficult to compare but I would favor the English (don't think about the Royalty of course) but from the sixties with Twiggy, the British have originality and creative ideas. |
