I lived in france for a few years. I found that depending on where you are the itinerary of things to do changes. Museums, Hikes, Simply cruising in your car taking in what around you. Normandy beaches (my favorite) or Concarneau in Bretagne (My second fav.)
Sometimes, simply sitting at a Cafe and snobbishly staring at people as they walk past and you sip your hot chocolate is fun.
If you go to France, eat Raclette! You'll have to have a raclette maker which sits on the table and has individual trays from 2 person - 12 persons + you put your piece of special raclette cheese in and let it melt then pour in over, usually, small potatoes, delicious meats, pickles and whatever else you can find! It's the best!
For pastry's you'll have to eat a Kouign Amanne which is Bretton for "Butter Cake!" You can't go wrong with butter sugar and flour, then the French touch!
I'd say if you like castles you need to go to the Loire Valley. If you like History, Paris, Normandy and basically anywhere in Northern France.
Do you like beautiful beaches? Head South to the Southern Coasts!
Too much to do, too much to see, you'll have to make several trips! |

France is a great country i go there every summer and it's amazing, even the people there r nice "they've changed" but u have to speak french!!! when u live and work there TRUST ME u'll have the most vacations u'll ever have in ur life,, and therefore u can visit so many cities in the train or cheap flights.
Food depends on the city ur in, but don't miss croissant on breakfast, cheeses, any raspberry dessert, and their grills.
Cities u must go:
PARIS<-- MY BELOVED CITY ON EARTH
CANNES<-- don't miss the water sports
ST.TROPEZ<-- it's beautiful
LYON<-- visit the old city
ANNECY<--it's so beautiful and calm
EVIAN LES BAINS<-- just see it, it's nice and different
MEGEVE<-- eat the crepe that is in a very small creperie shop
CHAMONIX<-- don't miss the luge d'ete
BIARRITZ<-- I don't know it yet i'll visit it next week!
THONON LES BAINS<-- go to michelle de ville for desserts and eat fillet de perche at the plage!
STRASBOURG<-- i went there when i was a kid and i have good memories of it
WHEN VISITING ANY CITY REMEMBER CHECK THE WEATHER BEFORE BECAUSE WEATHER MAKES UR DAY GOOD OR BAD |

France is a wonderful country with so much to offer. It is rich with culture, history, and tons of fun stuff to do!
I'd have been visiting Paris, Pépinières "L'Arc en Fleurs", Pépinières Les Agues, Fuchsia-Delhommeau and some other places. |

I would eat cheese and drink wine.
actually I do that on my first day of arrival each time I go to France. My brother prepares a picnic and we go to Bois de Boulogne near his place and we eat cheese with excellent bread, and drink wine on a blanket.
I love going to Parisian city parks and have a picnic like that.
I would also go to museums for just half a day though. and get myself lost in Paris, walking through the streets and avenues and discover new wonders.
WOrking there seems more stressful than working here: because they work less hours but they have to be very productive hours. But who cares with all the mandatory vacations you get, you can deal with working there. |

Quiche, pastries, chocolate candy, hot bread come to mind. Bistros and cafes and bakeries are less expensive than the 4 or 5 star restaurants. The marches (markets) are great places to get fresh fruits and veggies. You can see movies and parks and old buildings. |
