Hey I've been :) Everything there is pretty pricey. I brought back prints, of the effil tower and other attractions. I found that there fashion was awsome, my girl at the time bought cloths. I must confess..All my money went towards the crepes, admissions to all the attractions and wining and dinning. Can't wait to go back love that city of light and love. So beautiful. My advise...Learn French..French hate it when you don't try to speak french. They dislike Americans, be respectful and alert. Lots of poor people who are very witty. They will try to pick your pocket..esp near the ark de triump. Gypsy beg usually holding an infant..don't give at all..you will be followed. sad they actually pinch ther baby as you walk by.
Just take in the ambvious and culture thats the best souvinier. try all there breads wine, crepes, ect.. There food food sucks. oooh have to go...have fun. Say Hi to Mona Lisa at the LOUve |

Food, and wine. local handcrafts (if you can find them...everything in Spain - we were there in June - was made in China).
Lace from Bretagne.
Lavender and soaps from Provence.
OOOOH! and those pretty textiles from Provence!
How about a French translation of the Three Musketeers? (maybe you had to hear that story to get the joke...)
And no matter where I go, I always bring back TONS of photos. with digital it´s even easier. France would absolutely be no exception. |

I would buy something nice for your house that you really like, for example a type of knick knack item, rug or something that you will always have to remind you of your trip and memories. - As time passes, you will have that item to show that you were there. Get one or two really nice things like tapestry or something that is classic, but you like. |
