I have not been there but I was just on seventeen magazines website and they had a page about it.
Go to
www.seventeen.com
Then the travel section
Then select the 10 tips for Europe (it has Paris stuff) from Jessica Smith(she was on Laguna Beach)
Hope it help!

For a sort of equivalent of London's Oxford Street (although less busy) go to Rue de Rivoli, best tube station to get there is probably Hotel de Ville. From there you can easily wander to Les Halles, lots of shops there too, and to Le Marais that has less shops but still a few small and unusual ones. Faubourg Saint Honoree for expensive things :P and La Defense as a high street shopping mall. If you like Department stores definitly pay a visit to Les Galleries Lafayette and Printemps, they are next to each other by metro stations Opera, Auber and Haussman. Have fun!

I agree with loco loxo. While on Rue de Rivoli, look for tapestries depicting Paris scenes. I have two, and was greatly pleased to see they were made in France. Also, go to a candy store, and get some violet candies. These are sublime, in my opinion! (They look like violets, and are flavored with real essence of violets, and truly sweeten your breath.)

Have fun, and don't forget to check out the historic sites!

Printemps and La Fayette would be department stores. Present your passport at the Welcome Counter for both department stores, you are entitled to a 10% discount card which you can use in the stores for products. But note that Rouge Stand doesn't apply this 10%.
Etienne Marcel have cool stuffs for teenages.
Branded Stuffs would be Champs Elysees.

If you're looking for souvenirs, I suggest Rue de Rivoli. It's across from the Louvre and Tuileries Garden and offers some of the best selection of souvenirs for the lowest prices...best place to stock up on postcards: 13 postcards for 1 Euro.

The street to the left of Notre Dame Cathedral also offers some nice souvenir shops.

If you're into food, the Rue Cler is the best place.
