Are you going to Paris? My wife and I were just there in April of 2008.
1) Eiffel Tower
2) Notre Dame (special tours are good I hear)
3) Mussee du Louvre
4) The Basilica of Sacre Coeur (a and the artists square near by)
5) Musee d'Orsey
6) Versailles
7) Take a romantic dinner cruise down the Seine (don't buy over the web wait until you get there it's cheaper)

You could always do the caVinci Code Tour. I hear it
s a lot of fun.

Don't rent a car! Take the subway. The subway's in Paris go everywhere. You can buy a 10 day pass for about 10 euros. Don't buy them over the web they're twice as expensive.

Also, if you don't know French pickup the Pimselur series. It will give you a good crash course. You really get better service if you are polite and try to speak the language. Rude behavior will get rude behavior in return. Also, do not interpret an abrupt response a rudeness it's a nature of the language not a characteristic of the people.

London
1) Buckingham Palace
2) Big Ben
3) British Museum of Natural History
4) St. Johns Cathedral
5) Stone and Wood Henge
We're going either late this year or early next and haven't made our list yet.

The french countryside is Beautiful its must see. And of course Paris is the best city on earth. But try to stay away from the more "Touristy" sections of Paris. Get out and experience the real parts of the city. And eat whatever they give you, trust me!

In Paris you MUST visit the Louvre. In England the Tower of London is a must! So much history there. Also, Westminster Abbey would be good, Hampton Court Palace, and of course Buckingham Palace.

Lucky you! I wish I could go to France again, I had a blast and I hope you do to

by the way, ignore the person above me, French people are usually very kind and polite, unlike him obviously (haha, sorry, but it's mean of him to stereotype a whole country like that)

Go to the tourist guide online and look for the top ten attractions. Of course all depends on the length of your stay and the depth of your wallet. Enjoy!

Avoid France at all costs - they are not very NICE' people (hehahahahah).

Anyway - learn abit of the language - it goes a long way. I do not mean become an expert - but a few phrases will do.

Many (French) will still scoff at how you mispronounce words etc - but some of the decent people will appreciate that you made an effort and did not simply EXPECT them to know English.

London - buy multi day tube passes!
