centuries ago both those areas were conquered by england so many are english descendents....then the areas were regained by franks.....i guess the holiday immigrants are conquering the area again

yes there is a lot of english "immigrant" in Dordogne ... in fact there are more "tourists" than "immigrants" .....

around 5000 in Brittany, english stores, magazines... and more and more in Dordogne, estates are about 35 to 45 % cheaper
