For me it was more impressive to see the grand canyon, but adding the magic of being so far away knowing the history of the tower and how well renowned it is and how much people hold it in high esteem sort of give you a feeling of accomplishment and unbelieveability to your own self to know that you actually made it to the eiffel tower. I never thought I'd be there but I was and It was an awesome feeling. I didn't get to go up though it was too late at night. But maybe if I would have gone up I would have been more impressed.

YES. I am not a touristy kind of traveler, I like discreet places or non-attractions. But, when I got off of the metro and turned the corner, the Eiffel Tower came into view and it really took my breath away,

Sillia
YES it is !!!
Especially at night and at the christmas period!
Eiffel Tower is really splendid!

Yes, especially at night all lit up. To really feel how amazing the structure is, walk up the stairs at least up a few flights if not all the way instead of taking the elevator. Personally, I prefer it in the winter with the mist and snow all around.
