no, stay away.

Non!!!

No, not in my humble opinion. If I were to spend the money it would take to visit Europe again, I would narrow it down to Bavarian Germany and/or Switzerland. These are two of the most beautiful places on Earth!

Visit WWII sites that will make it worth it. The cemeteries too I've heard it's a very moving experience.

It really depends how much knowledge you've already cultivated about the culture. If you do your legwork on the art, history, culture and language, then your trip there could be profoundly resonant in your life's travels. However, if you go without any knowledge of the context you are visiting, you'll probably gravitate to the tourist attractions, the place with the most colorful lights, because generally the ignorant, the ones who didn't do their homework, tend to flock here because it's easy, safe, familiar.

Find something you like about the place, and go from there. Also, foreigners tend to think France is unfriendly toward tourists, but if you show them that you've done your homework and appreciate their culture, and understand their past and present struggles and triumphs, you'll find this unfriendly stereotype to be just that, a stereotype.

Bon Chance et Bon Voyage!

Having been all over France I would say no. Italy would be a much better choice as the Italian people have a zest for life that the French seem to lack. Italy is a frindlier country also. Bologna in particular is a great city.

In short.....No....

Just because it's a stereotype, doesn’t mean it’s not true.

But that is just an opinion.

I recommend Spain. Nice climate, great food, nice people.

yes but you'll need a lot of money

Depends what you mean by worth it. If you go there expecting everyone to speak English, conform to your standards of polite behaviour, and shops and restaurants to be open at the hours that you're accustomed to - no it's not. But this applies to most countries and if it bothers you, best stay home.

Also, Paris is NOT France. France is actually extremely varied, with each region offering something different in terms of food, drink, history, nature. If you like art, stick to the cities. If you like countryside, there's the Alps, Alsace, Jura, Loire, Normandy. If you like sun and starlets, try the Cote d'Azur. As for historical buildings, you'll trip over the bloody things if you're not careful.

Think about what you would like to see and do. Get a good, user-friendly guidebook, e.g. Rough Guide.

Learn 'bonjour', 'merci', 'au revoir', 'parlez-vous Anglais?'.

And above all, take your time and stray off the beaten path.

Definitely. If you like culture, art, wine, etc. Least expensive time to travel is Nov. 1 through March 31st- Europe's low season with many great deals with hotels. It'll be cold but if its your first time, travel during low season and return some time in the spring or fall when price is not as expensive as the summer.

mais bien sur...France is totally and completely worth it. Paris is probably my favorite city in the whole world and the rest of the country is fantastic as well. Everyone should go at least once.
