France is quite expensive to the british but realtistic it isn't youu will see when youu get over there
But £7.60 ended up being something like 9.90euro over there :/ so i dunno
it depends where youu buy but if it has the british price on it check and see if thats what you would pay in england or where you are from

Yes, Nice is very expensive, mainly because the place is frequented by the rich with their flash yachts and big cars. And France is more expensive than 5 years ago because our government's financial antics have caused the pound to drop about 12% against the euro in the past five years. However, don't let the cost put you off visiting nice. It is quite a good idea to base yourself some distance inland from Nice and then drive in for the day. The last time I visited Nice we based ourselves in a B and B (chambre d'hote) near Grasse and then motored in. The roads are quite good and the cost of B & B's in France is very reasonable. We paid 45 euros per night for 2 at Chateauneuf-Val -Saint-Donat but that was in 2005 when 45 euros = £30.00. |

Yes, but if you decide to stay in Grasse or Antibe its much more affordable. Grasse is wonderful, and i'm not just saying that because i'm from there. Its really scenic. If you are just interested in the beach though, you might be better off in Antibes. Also, most of the beaches in Nice are actually pebble beaches. If you like sand beaches better, Antibes if your destination of choice. |

Nice has been overprized for so many years, count x 1.5 in general compared to other locations nearby ! The location, the prestige, typical for the Cote d'Azur ! The attitude ...
If you compare with Aspen, or any other upscale location that caters for the rich and famous, of course it is similar. |
