Is Nicolas Sarkozy well loved in France?

Show all answers

angelguy_paris
Nicolas Sarkosy is not well loved in France, most people here think that he is arogant, ignorant and that his political view is only based on helping the riches to become more riche.

I don't think the French are all that much into "loving" their politicians. I think they mostly approve of him, and are proud of what he's done as president of the EU--as well they might be--particularly his handling of the Russian/Georgian conflict. He may be Putin's "useful idiot," but from the French perspective he has skillfully renewed and strengthened the natural alliance between Russia and the major European powers.

ha ha, this poor Sarkosy is so insulted that I feel pity for him sometimes; the last thing that was invented was a voodoo doll of him.

No he's well hated in France.
