To answers you i think evrybody can like live here in france...
but paris is paris ... good and bad thing

Well, I was only there for 2 weeks on vacation but I fell in love with the place and if I could ever find a way to legally go there to live and work and make enough money to survive comfortably, I would definitely do it without thinking twice!

I've never in my life felt so alive as in Paris. I've never felt so much like I belonged somewhere. I cried like a baby when it was time to pack up and come home. Paris is magical.

Pros :

Splendour of the city and unequalled level of cultural life
High level environment in all regards - highest schools, unis, highest skills in all fields, best doctors, clinics, surgeons
High level of security
Great choice and possibilities concerning trade and shops - in Paris you can find and buy ALL ( licit of course ;o)) )
Paris is the center of France - and from there can go everywhere -
Level of salaries higher than other parts of France

Contra :

Climate = cyclothymic
Atmosphere = generally high % of people on the nerves
Price of estate = frightening
Times of daily transports = awful
Individual relationship = poor - create friendships in Paris is highly difficult - only solution : clubs, unions, parties, churches etc

There are pluses and minuses which you need to consider.

Paris is a gorgeous city with a vibrant cultural and social life. There are fine restaurants at many price ranges, world famous museums, great music venues and convivial bars and cafes in every quarter.

France generally has excellent health care facilities and a government sponsored health insurance system that makes it affordable for every citizen. Thirty five hour work weeks are mandated by government along with 7 weeks of paid vacation a year.

On the other hand, taxes are very high, the barriers to new enterprises are a burden, unemployment is much higher than in the USA or the UK, government regulation of most aspects of life can be infuriating and is certainly intrusive, and the government bureaucracy is notoriously petty and officious.

Further, housing is expensive (although no worse than New York and not as bad as London), traffic is horrendus and parking is impossible.

You must decide for yourself what trade-offs you are willing to make.
