Paris is beautiful. subway is very convenient - do not forget to bring a 2" x 1" photo - you can buy a week pass = it is much cheaper. Do not miss the 10 p.m. show for the Effie Tower - it is so romantic,

watch for pit pocket - they use razor blade and cut your backpack or purses

Cann is soso - you can take a little tram to tour for an hour

Nice and Leon is no big deal

there is a travel agency in Europe - I join the tour for $ 48 /day including hotel, tour guide and tour bus. tip for the driver and tour guide is $5 the tour guide speak Chinese , English and Dutch

it is very cheap and the hotel is very nice - it included morning breakfast buffet

do not forget to bring the water bottle w/ you - you cannot drink the tap water

summer is very hot in Paris - but it is so much to see - do not forget to pick up a free map in the hotel lobby - if you want to buy
expensive stuff, eg LV purses. - you need to bring your passport to the stores
and get the tax refund in the airport

it depends on what you are looking for ? if you are interested in Culture, you have of things to do and visit.
If you are looking for the same things as your country, don't count on it.
To answer your questions, Yes Paris is a very good place for the holidays !

Paris is actually a pretty dirty city. (i know this because i have family who lived there at one time) but if you want to go there, i would say go for it! its something that you probably would enjoy.

Yes, it's good anytime of year. Last year they actually had an ice skating rink set up in the Eifel Tower, and they do fireworks for New Years by the Eifel tower. I think it's a beautiful city, go see the usual landmarks, and the Musee de Orsay and the Sacre Couer church, it's beautiful and it has a great view of the city since it's on a hill. It can be expensive to go there, but it doesn't have to be, we are a military family so of course we aren't rich, but we've been twice and managed okay. We found a reasonable hotel and it had an inexpensive pizza place right around the corner and a metro stop at the next corner, and right across from the pizza place was a little store to by snacks and fruit and drinks. You can get a metro pass for however many days you will be there, we had a 5 day metro pass. We found our hotel on www.parishotels.com We chose the Cactus, it's small, but clean (just make sure you reserve a room with a bathroom), and it's relatively inexpensive. Oh, and like some people said, parts of the city are dirty, but not the whole city. And the people aren't rude like everyone says, we found them to be quite friendly and helpful.

Yes Ive been there man its beautiful and there are alot of beautiful restaurants but god the blue cheese tasted awfull their croissants are something you cant dream of and that eiffel tower is something huge. yes i really recomend visiting there in the summer.

Paris is a very interesting city, with many historical buildings, amazing museums and great architecture. However, like most tourist-filled places, it is VERY expensive. The food, drink and everything else are stupidly expensive.

Not during the summertime. The sewers are still cleaned out by guys on a raft, and in the heat the whole city smells. God forbid the frogs upgrade.

Not unless you are Loaded...a fiver for a coffee .!! And it will be starting to get chilly now...( and they are a wee bit stinky & obnoxious !! )
