Paris really is as amazing as people say it is. I hope that you go and that you have wonderful time!

It really depends on the person. I know people that hated Paris, and I know people that love Paris. I loved it. I thought the buildings were beautiful and I loved how everything was so artistic. Sculptures everywhere, gardens meticulously managed, fine works of art around every corner. And I love the history. I thought the people were very kind (unlike things that I've heard from other people).

But some people can't see the beauty of the city and that is their loss. Plus if you don't like art, architecture, history or chocolate pastries - there won't be much there for you and it may not be the city for you.

If you're enamored with old architecture and art then Paris is for you. It's such a beautiful city, especially at night when all the monuments are lit. It's a city I recommend to everyone at the very least once in a lifetime. So in answer to your question, yes, it is amazing! I can hardly wait to return.
