Well, French food is a complex, elegant and "rafffiné" cuisine, that's why the people like it. In France when you order a salad, you won't get two leaves of salad with three tomatos and a cheap sauce; your plate will be very stylish, with a very special way to put the tomatos and the salad leaves together. :)
Now it depends on your tastes, but French food is great indeed. And there is a very large range. Plus, French wine and cheese are excellent. |

French and Italian tie for the best in my opinion. I love all the fresh ingredients and attention to detail in French cuisine, and I love the heartiness and comfort food style of Italian cuisine. |

One of the best certainly as French food is excellent. But it may be an overstatement to say it is THE best.
I count French cuisine among the five great cuisines of the world. These, in my opinion are (not in any particular order):
1. Vietnamese
2. French
3. Italian
4. Chinese
5. North Indian
And if I had to eat just one cuisine for the rest of my life it would be Vietnamese. Not so much because I think it is THE best but because, of these five, I think it is the healthiest. |
