Is it dangerous to take PER B from CDG to go to Paris at night?

I'm travelling to paris by myself, and wondering how I should get to Paris. My plane arrives before 9pm, and I've read lots of reviews and articles saying PER B is not safe to get on early in the morning and late at night.
By the way, i'm an asian woman and had little problem getting on a bus/train late at night in los angeles.

Well, I took this RER many times at night, and I have never had problem, though I'm a woman just like you. Time to time there can have some mean to chat up you, but let's them talk alone and they will leave without problem. That's all you can encounter, I think. About what time are you going to take the RER? and that's during summer? because in Summer there are even more people taking the RER at night, probably more motivated to go out when the weather is good. ^ ^

you can very use the RER B at night, but if you are afraid take a taxi (but of course ,the price isn´t the same:it´s more expensive)

Hiya,

At Night !!!
You better take the "Roissy Bus" from CDG to Opera then taxi.
I lived for about 16 years in Paris and I've used the RER maybe 3 times only.
RER B is not really safe at night and sometimes also during the day but less than at night because the Police have a wonder in it during the day.
Some gangs take pleasure by looting the passengers on the train.
But don't worry buses and subways in Paris are safe.
The taxi from CGD to The city centre of Paris will be very expensive because the airport is quiet far away from the city centre.
Have a good stay in France.

Do you mean RER line B? What is your destination? Most stations in Paris proper are ok most of the time...once you get past Gare du Nord (which is no worse than what you probably see every day in LA...much better maybe) all the stations are quite safe.
I think the fears are overblown. I've ridden that line a few times and encountered no unpleasentness whatsoever. You'll travel through some pretty dodgy suburbs, but exercise the caution you would at home and you'll be fine. Have a great trip!

Security on the RER is generally excellant. Aside from the dangers of pickpockets there is almost no crime and violent crime is very rare.

If you are concerned about the RER then there are several shuttle buses. Those operated by Air France will take you to Porte Maillot or Place Charles de Gaulle. Rossybus takes you to the Opera Garnier.

It is best to take a taxi. The metro is a scary place especially in PAris. During the day it is okay but not at night.
