Is it good to visit Paris in January, or is it too cold?

I am planning to go to London and paris for New Years for the first time and I wanted to know if it was a good idea to go then. Or shouls I wait until spring?

I would definitely go in January. The place is full of tourists in spring and summer, in winter you won't have to deal with as many crowds. It gets cold, but it's not bone-chillingly cold, and if you have the chance to see Notre
Dame and other sights in the snow you won't regret it. One thing: if you are in Paris for New Year's Eve, don't go to the Eiffel Tower, there are way too many people and it's not that fun.

From my last travel experience to Paris (past January), the weather wasn't so nice, too cold with strong winds and rain. Not so good weather for walking and tourists.
Until now the weather in Europe is rather warm for that time and season.

Any time of year is beautiful. I've been there in February, and it was cold, but also beautiful.

Paris in January is beautiful... There's still the Christmas decoration in the streets and the shops. Is it cold ? Between 0° and 10° in January but it's variable. Paris in spring is pleasant too but it's more impressive during Christmas time.
Bon voyage !!
