Of course, nothing wrong. Most of my travels are to a place which I had never been before and alone - it is interesting and fun enough :)

Cheers

Hi,, i work overseas,,,and when i get on my days off... I jump on the train and head out.. to where ever..... it maybe not the normal thing for everyone,, but I figure that if I dont see things now, I may miss out on something...

Its fun,, exciting and mysterious to travel about.....you have to pay attention to what is going on around you and do a little homework like looking up what hotel to stay thru Hotel.com....

Good luck....

If I had the money to do it, I sure would!

Silly Girl
I have done it a couple of times and would not recommend it. I was lucky no one mugged or raped me.

carebear
I would think so, it's just more fun to share your experience with someone

worldglobetrottergirl
If that's what you want to do, then go for it. I don't normally make it a habit of taking solo vacations. If I get into trouble, I like to make sure I have a co-conspirator. *g*

On some trips, I like to venture off on my own for a day. I've done it in Paris, Washington DC and Chicago, so far. Sometimes I like to experience a museum on my own, without having to worry about my travel partner being bored.

i have travel alone to London, Paris and Rome.
it was great......
Unfortunately my family and friends either can't afford trips or dont like them. so why to miss the change to travel around the world??
I wasn't scared at all. I am now planning my next trip!

Absolutely. Better than not going at all.

Yes, thats so ordinary. As long as you know how to read, speaks english (International language), friendly and not a nasty one, you will do fine travelling alone. Please dont forget to bring a lot of common sense tucked in your pocket.
I have done it so many times.

You can't say whether or not it is normal. It's up to the person traveling. If you want to go alone, then go alone. If not, find someone to go with you.

Antrim
Yes, I love it. No schedules. Don't wear sneakers.
