well actually, it's fashionable, for men or girls, to wear flip flops during the summer in france (for 3-4 yrs). so, it's no problem.
abt the fact to look like a tourist... i can assure you, you'll allways look like a tourist, wearing flip flops or not.

It won't be considered rude, but you'll look quite touristy =] However, Parisians are incredibly used to tourists, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes of course u can!! U can wear anything that u would wear here THERE!! I found that out the hard way, esp in summer! They wear old ragedy clothes all over! U will fit right in,...even top less,.. no just kidding :-))))
