Definitely. It's just as safe as the tap water in the U.S. or Canada.

Emily
Absolutely. At least as safe as it is to drink your tap water at home...

Is it safe to go to France should be your question.

horvathi
In Europe in the most countries (except for Greece, the islands, etc...) you can drink the water. But ask the information office in Nice..

gadjoroma
Yes it is safe, it just tastes funny. Try mixing it with Ricard. That is what I do.

Just recently returning from a trip around Europe, including a stop in Nice, I remember the tap water was fine. However, it is always a safe bet to buy bottled water, which is very affordable as long as you buy it from the little grocers at the streets and not from the local tourist vendors or cafes. Also, pack up if you plan to go to the nearby Monte Carlo (a short and cheap train ride), food and water there is a bit pricey.

cobwebs

Why would you want to risk it, the water at the source or from the tap maybe fine, but it is your vacation. I would not want to get sick, not even headache overseas. It's your vacation, take care of your body. Buy a bottle, water that is :)
