not with the dollar where it is right now. you need a much better exchange rate to make any pruchases worthwhile.

No! Not at all! Are you kidding me!? I went to Paris this spring break (no lie) and saw all the major fashion stores. Everything is hella expensive! More than the U.S.! I felt like a poor hobo in the Dolce and Gobanna store and everybody was looking all expensive with their rich glasses and such.

Strasburger
It is not cheaper in Europ Euro is stronger than the dollar 1euro=1,5 dollars. US is really cheaper for European but not the opposite sorry!

Because of the change, it is not the best moment to buy stuff, whatever the kind in France.
It's why I go to US next week ^^
As already noted, taxes are higher in France, but prices indicated are all taxes included, not like in US, and some stores pays taxes back according a certain amount, or if you buy to resell

Frankly no. It is not true.

You will find prices in Paris as high or higher than in the United States. This is because the indirect costs of retail sales are higher in France than in the United States.

not in Paris, it is not true, shops (boutiques) in Paris are very expensive,
besides? in Paris? you will pay in euros, and with the conversion of dollars into euros? you will loose;
perhaps at duty free shops at airports, but surely not in Paris shops,
