It is difficult to do what? To find a job? Yes. To climb on Mont Blanc? Yes. But to travel and to see all beauties of France is gorgeous. Expensive? Yes, if you want to buy all clothes and shoes in Champs Elysees's shops. But there are a lot of things to do, see and buy in France. Go and you'll see. |

It's true that purchasing nuclear weapons is very difficult and expensive, in France.
It is not true of purcasing baugettes.

According to different european countries, life is expensive (only UK, Norway... etc are ahead of France).
Of course, for US people, Paris is cheap but not for us (french people)
If you want to come to work, you gotta have a good degree...
10% of unemployement. Even the mid-class is worried about money...
Some figures:
gas: 1.3€/L i.e. 4.9€/gallon (€ not $.....)
cigarettes: maybe 5€ the pack of 20 marl (i am not a smoker)
wages: if you work: 1200€/month minimum
baguette and croissant: +/-0.9 € in a bakery
