Is there a good youth hostel in Montpellier or Marseille, France?

I have to stay in South France for four nights next week and I want to find a youth hostle to meet other people. I'm having trouble finding a youth hostel. I'm flying into Nimes Airport so any place near there with good transport links would be good

The HI hostel in Montpellier was pretty social, and the people working there were very cool. Free baggage storage for safety during the day.

And I found Montpellier a really nice place -- very laid-back and friendly atmosphere, actually.

Montpellier: Hotel Prime
41 rooms. The reception closed at 10 pm.
The reservation will be kept until 7 pm.
Room rate is 25 euros per night.

Marseille: two options

Hotel Les Cigales - Situated between Marseille and Allauch, a country inn with modern amenities. 35 euros per night, but check availability: only 7 rooms.

Hotel Kyriad Vieux Port
centrally situated (a half-minute-walk to the port).
40 euros a night!

I've heard good things about Montpellier, but it is apparently rather civilised. Marseille on the other hand is a lot more 'lively'... so it depends on what you're looking for. The only thing about the Marseille hostels is that they don't sound much like hostels, and the first one is tiny at 7 rooms - perhaps an idea to just get a special deal for a centrally located hotel and head out to find people to hook up with?

There are some hostels... Check out twizi.com, they list hostels that cost less than 25 dollars all over the world.
Their hostel page is the link below

France is a rather indifferent place towards foreiners, so don't waqnder off to far. I would go to Marseille out of the two, it seems more welcoming.
