What kind of help do you need?
I spent nearly 2 years in Aquitaine as I lived in Bordeaux. The region is huge and is divided into several "départements" : Gironde, Landes, Dordogne, Lot et Garonne and Pyrénées Atlantique.
Biggest cities are : Bordeaux, Agen, Perigueux, Bergerac, Biarritz, Dax, Bayonne ...
It has the best winewards of France, lots of history (the Lascaux Cave is in Dordogne), food is great (wonderful West Southern French food), ocean isn't that far and some places are well known for surf such as Lacanau or Mimizan or Biarritz, montagne isn't that far either with the Pyrénées.
You can go there by plane (there's an airport in Bordeaux and in Bergerac), by train (Paris is only 3 hours away thanks to TGV) or by car (although "interstate" are not free in France you have to pay a "fee" to use them).
