Listening to Radio France Bleu Nord this Saturday...?
This Saturday after lunch, while driving in France I was listening to a radio program at BleuNord, it was about music, I think the musician/band name was something like Padame or Badame... I don't know the correct spelling... the music was very nice with some Northern African touches and accordion playing as well. I think one song was called Papillon or had Papillon on the title. Does anyone know the correct name of this band or musician? Thanks! Additional Details Thanks Domquin. But no, it's not Benabar. While searching for it on you tube I found his song "L'effet Papillon" but it's not it. Thanks anyway.
The only artist with that name that I can think off is Padam om , but to the best of my knowledge he does not sing in French.

There is a hip hop piece called "Paname City Rappin" by Dee Nasty.
On the other hand there is a song by Cindy Sanders called "Papillon de Lumière". She is a northern girl from Lille so that would fit in with Radio bleu Nord, but she is female.

I am wondering if you may be looking for the singer/actor Faudel who starred opposite Audrey Tautou in "Le Battement d'ailes du papillon" and who is of Algerian descent. He does cross-over French Arabic songs. His songs and those of Khaled and Cheb Mami are very popular.

Radios France Bleu sometimes play music of bands from their own region. so maybe it was a group from north of France... or maybe something more national but I don't know it
