Looking for a cheap overnight stay in Paris?

Based in London, looking to travel this week the 5th or the 6th, returning the following day. Can anyone recommend a good website?

Try Hotel Monpensier.. on rue de Richelieu - backs on to the Palais Royal - about 2 minutes from the metro and 3 minutes from the Louvre... perfectly situated - inexpensive - clean - friendly.

Have a good break.

When we stayed in Paris we stayed at the Hotel Perfect, in Montmartre. It was perfect - very cheap, in a lovely area, small but spotless and run by the most cheerful friendly helpful people ever:

Some other websites I use a lot for v cheap accommodation all over the world:

http://www.youth-hostels-in.com
It isn't all youth hostels, a lot of cheap hotels and guest houses are on there too, and you can search by availability.

http://www.statravel.co.uk
they often have special offers, 3 nights for the price of 2 and stuff like that.

http://www.laterooms.co.uk
Great for picking up left over hotel rooms if there are any

If you want to know if a place you're thinking of is any good or might be a cr-phole, check out
http://www.tripadvisor.com
for reviews of hotels from other travellers.

if u looking for a cheap place to stay i know a lady, Madame Colombo who rents out rooms just south of Gare de L'Est in three typical Parisian apartments, its a bit messy, and exentric, lots of different people from all over the world rent from her, she is a fantastic Parisian typical lady, very funny indeed, and its cheap.... email me and i give you her details if u want...

just say that i recomended you and she might give u a cheaper rate even...

Hello:

Go to http://www.grab2travel.com/
Go to "Hotels" section.

Click on SmartSearch - you can enter your trip detail once and can compare rates on multiple major travelsite from one place. You dont have to enter trip detail again and again.. thats very helpful.. I liked it.

Take the Metro to Ledru Rollin, that area is the 12th arrondisement (district)
when you exit Ledru Rollin, walk north on Ledru Rollin,
at the corner of Ledru Rollin and Rue de Charonne there is a hotel,
you will pay for what amenities you want,
ex: if you just want a room with a sink, 29 Euros
a room with a toilet 40 Euros ( i dont know the exact prices but that is close)
they have a toilet/shower in the hall if you want to save money,
or you can have a shower in your room too, for a little bit more,
so it depends on how much you want to save,
also, if they dont have any rooms, there are alot of hotels in the area like that one.
That area is good because it is close to everything but yet isnt in the "popular" more expensive areas.
Its a residential area, but still very Parisien!
Its close to the Bastille which is a great area, and the Marais (great area but expensive)
also, in the future, look for apartments you can rent for the week instead of a hotel, you can find that for 300-500 Euros for the week, so that is worth it
you can find some good ones on
www.craigslist.org

http://www.concorde-hotels.com/

Try the Concorde hotel group. I have stayed at the Lutetia and the Ambassador, which are a few blocks from the Bon Marche and Galleries Lafayette, respectively. I have gotten a room as low as 180 euroes per night, which is pretty cheap for such nice hotels in Paris.

i just got back and we booked our hotel through www.hotelclub.com, when you put in your dates they'll bring up a list of hotels in varios areas and of various prices, you shoud be able to find something there....
or if you want really cheap, try www.hostelbookers.com ....they're not all hostels but some very cheap but basic hotels.

A cheap overnight stay in Paris? Why not just imagine one, and then it won't cost anything.
