All you need to do is copy the address on to a piece of paper and get a taxi.

Give it to the taxi driver and he will take you there!

I'm french, sorry for my english...
You can take a taxi. Write the adress and the phone number on a paper (you might need it). The french OPIUM's phone number is 01.42.33.55.83.
But the underground is less expensive. A ticket costs 1,50 euro but if you stay in paris, buy 10 tickets for 11,10euros. Ask a tube map (in french: plan de mÃ©tro) when you buy your tickets (in London, you can find it everywhere in the tube, but not in France).
From the train, you take the underground line 4, direction Porte d'OrlÃ©ans (no "northbound" or "southbound" in the french underground) and you get off the train at the underground station called Etienne Marcel.

pretty much everyone in paris speaks english so you should be ok.

buy yourself a street map before you go - a big bookshop like waterstones should stock them, failing that most guide books have maps in them.

by far the easiest way to get round paris is the metro. find out where the nearest metro stop is to your street, most destinations are within walking distance from a metro.

by the looks of it, your street is very close to chatelet les halles. this is a pleasant part of paris, very traditional and not many tourists, and nice cafes! if you are able to get a metro to chatelet, that would be your best bet.

75001 is in the first arrondissement and you'll be arriving in Gare du Nord (North Station) which is in the 10th arrondissement. It's quite near. From Gare du Nord, you can hope on the metro and get yourself to the Ã‰tienne Marcel metro stop (i.e., underground) and you'll be basically a few steps from rue du Cygne. Rue de Cygne parallels Rue Etienne Marcel.

By the way, Paris is divided into arrondissement which you can think of as districts or neighbourhods.

The best street map of Paris is the very popular red covered book called Â«L'indispensable Paris Par Arrondissement Nouveau Repertoire Des RuesÂ». Get that one. It is in small booklet form, divides Paris by arrondissement, has all the metro stops and street names and indexes them.

Sneakers in France.

Opium is situated just a few city blocks from Parisâ€™ Centre Georges Pompidou and is a sneaker store unlike most.

I talked to the owners and they pride themselves more as a museum on sneakers than just a sneaker store.
Adorning the interior of the store is an enviable collection of original and rare issues.
A collection any sneakerheads would really appreciate, even if they canâ€™t purchase them.

Buy yourself a decent map.
Read the map and find your arrival/destination points.
Decide if you can get there on foot, or get the metro.
Also, invest in a phrase book.
Its not that difficult, honestly.

hahahaha,i once drove from torrevieja in spain to calais in france,when we got into france we needed petrol and i couldnt speak french except for my name is.lol.anyway we pulled up at this petrol station and im making gestures to get the car filled up and speaking spanish to the guy and he opens his mouth after me blabbing like an idiot for 10 minutes and spoke perfect english.
typical eh.
anyway they do all speak excellent english as its taught as a second language over there.

The nearest landmarks are Notre-Dame and Palais De Justice, and you should find it quite easy to get there first.

Just checked a Paris map, its about a mile and a half
to where you want to be. The taxi drivers seem to speak
English, you should be OK, but a dodgy one could
go the long way, so get a map and point to where you're going.
It's due south from Gard du Nord
