There is the Champs-Elysees...one of the ritziest boulevards in the world. If you're up for walking, start from the Tuileries Garden at the Louvre and start walking toward the Arc de Triomphe...you'll pass Place de la Concorde and you can see the site where so many had a date with Monsieur Guillotine. It's a nice walk, quite lovely. But Champs Elysees has a lot of great places to shop...Louis Vuitton (okay, window shopping for me!), Sephora, Virgin Megastore (sometimes they have celebs signing autographs there), etc. Also a McDonalds, Planet Hollywood, card dealerships, etc.

A great street for souvenirs is Rue de Rivoli, across from the Louvre. You can find all sorts of great deals (13 postcards for 1 Euro!). It pays to do some comparison shopping. Another great place for souvenirs (don't recall the name of the street though) is by Notre Dame. It's to the left of the cathedral...good deals here too.
