McDonald's in France?? |
If we have a "dollar menu" in America, what do foreign countries have as the equivalent? I'm sure McDonald's is all over the world now? What do they call it in France? |

I wouldn't be caught dead in a McDonald's anywhere. However there is an official website for McDonald's France where you can look:
http://www.mcdonalds.fr/#/home/
A quick glance does not seem to show anything that is the equivalent of the "Dollar Menu" although they do have the "Happy Meal." |

There is no "dollar" ("euro" ;) ) menu in McDonald's in France, unfortunately as I love it!! McDonald's is much more expensive in France. A simple cheeseburger costs 2 euros! (Can you tell I miss the $1 double cheeseburger?!)
I have seen a Euro menu in Germany, though. |

We don't have a Dollar menu.
Cheeseburger = €1 ($1.4)
Happy meal = €4 ($5.4)
Menu Best of (basic menu) = €6 (8)
Menu Maxi Bet of (the biggest menu) = €7 ($9.4)
...
McDonald's is not so expensive IF compared against French food and restaurants. |

McDonalds menus in France? The main menu is called the 'menu best of' and there's the happy meal for the kids. |

I am not sure what you mean exactly but if you are coming to France avoid McDonalds like the plague.
In France they have set menus at most restaurants where you have a choice of meals for a fixed price and you can choose how much you want to spend usually starts around 12 euros and can go up to around 40 euros, that is per person. Can be even more in posh restaurants but is usually pretty good food. |

I'm not sure if this answers your question but, when I was in Italy I bought a cheeseburger for 7 euros. |

For once I don't agree with Rilifane. But not for the same reasons.
I wouldn't go to Macdo (as the French call McDonalds) for a meal - as Rilifane says, there are plenty of small restaurants offering meals at a fixed reasonable price.
The trouble is, a sandwich and a drink in a French cafe can cost as much as a meal. So might as well get a meal, if you have the time.
Macdo is good if you want a coffee or tea in the middle of the afternoon, which can cost you four or five euros on the Champs Elysees. Or a sundae (but I don't like the Macdo 'ice-cream' , so go for a milk shake.
Many of the Macdos in Paris also have free wifi. so you can check your emails, take a rest and drink a soda all for less than two euros. |

Value Menu, I think. Darn! I can see the board in my head, but can't remember the name...I was there a few weeks ago, you'd think I'd be able to remember! |
