Since French appears to be the language of choice for your dog to communicate with you, it would appear that you will be at an impasse until you learn some French phrases that would be of use to you while talking with your dog.
Rosetta Stone offers software which can help you learn the language quickly and relatively easily so that you can not only understand what your dog is saying to you, but you can learn basic commands and conversation to speak with your dog.
By the way, if this phrase is said a lot "Je dois utiliser la salle de bains", you dog needs to go out and go potty.

i had never intended to bring this up, so i thank you for breaking the ice for me. my german sheperd, karl heinz von sturm-und-drang mit die maschien geladen, who sports the cutest monocle in his left eye, speaks to me only in french. he was in the french zone of the partitioned reich during the cold war, but admits he was a driving force in the tearing down of the berlin wall. he refuses to speak german, declaring he will never be responsible for the return of german militarism. noble idea, i must admit, but i would prefer he stuff himself with knockwurst and beer, instead of napoleons and chardonnay. |
