Its difficult to say because it depends on what you want to include as a mountain.

For example, in Paris there are two "mountains" Mont Martre and Mont Parnasse but I doubt many people actually regard them as mountains as they are really just big hills.

The two most important mountain ranges of France are the Alps and the Pyrenees. The highest peak is the Mont Blanc 4 808 metres above sea level and is in the Haute Savoie region.

There are 7 principle mountain regions in France

The Alps
Auvergne, Massif Central
Jura
Morvan
Pyrennes
Vosges
Corsica

the Jura
The Vosges

First, you should look up the spelling of "maountais." Second, if you can come onto yahoo to ask, then you can search the web for your answers!! Go for it!!! It won't hurt! We'll all tell you the answer on Tuesday June 5th! :)

I'm going skiing in the maountais now. Just messing with ya!
