Paris Restaurants - Nice Good Value Steak???

Who can recommend a good steak restaurant in Paris?

When in France I often eat in the Hippo chain which are good value and decent food, but would like to try somewhere new.

Is there anywhere that is more authentic but can compete with Hippo on quality and price???

La Methode at 2 rue Descrates in the 5th arrondissement turns out a nice steak.

Frankly, I think the Hippo chain is vile so if you like them we may not be on the same wavelength when it comes to food..

Virtually any bistro or brasserie will sell steaks at a reasonable price - I could give you the names of some other chains similar to Hippo, but if you're looking for something different, I would suggest just going to an independent restaurant!

My favorite place for steak in all of Paris is La Vagenende, at 142, Boulevard St. Germain in the Sixth Arrondissement. It's a cozy, authentic brasserie, and it's been there forever. Don't miss their frites!

Have a great trip!
