my school is taking kids to france, paris and it costs $2,464. that pays for the flight there and back, food, and hotel we are staying at. it is for 9 days. is this how much it should cost or is it a rip off? |

It is impossible to answer this question without knowing where you are flying from, what time of the year you will be going and what type of accommodations you will have.

It's a good price, but be sure you verify what type of food and accommodation will be provided and make sure that it's at a level that you're comfortable with. |

That is a good deal.
I stayed for a month and it was at least 10,000 for breakfast, dinner, classes, flight, museums and the hotel.
Plus, Paris is amazing. |

9 days, for that cost, sounds like a great deal. Takes care of everything, and I do suggest if you want to shop, or explore then that will cost you a bit more out of pocket money when you are there. If I could go to Paris for that price I would. On Orbitz.com with flight and hotel it would cost for 9 days, over $5,000. Your saving money. |

The good thing is that you can stay at youth hostels and as a matter of fact, families can stay there during off season (like now)
paris is a wonderful City but don't act like a stereotypical American. Show a little humility and don't be loud and obnoxious. not that YOU are, I'm just saying.

That is a terrific deal. I'm going to Paris in two weeks for only 10 days. After I get back, I will total up how much I spent and I guarantee it will be a lot more than that! A nice, not top-of-the-line hotel room in Paris is usually about $100 per night. If you're there for 14 nights, that is $1400. Airfare depends on season and where you're departing from. The cheapest round trip fare I ever found from Atlanta (where I live) to Paris was $600, and that was a couple years ago before fuel prices went up so much. So, that is $2000 just for transportation and lodging!
If money is an issue, start saving money now. Participate in all the school fundraisers that you can. Maybe you can approach your church (if you attend one) or local small businesses about sponsoring you. |
