You take a map of Paris transports - and choose the close
suburbs such as Chatillon - Issy - Kremlin-Bicetre - SaintMaur - Charenton - Nogent - Vincennes

They are affordable middle-class suburbs - kind of golden ring - otherwise skip Pantin, Saint-Denis, Gennevilliers Montreuil, Bagnolet, Aubervilliers

that depend, paris is very expensive, you should try the suburbs

Rillifane
There isn't any area of Paris proper that most people would consider "cheap." The least expensive areas are in the north and east of the city.

Mimi
It's expensive EVERYWHERE in Paris!
