I love Paris! Everything is so beautiful. And you know how people say Paris is magical? Well you don't even know what that means until you've been there! The one and only thing I didn't like was the food, but I'm just a picky eater and everyone else I know loves the food. I felt very safe there, had no problems. Just don't make yourself look like a tourist with the bright sweatshirt and camera case around your neck. Most people there wear neutral colors, mainly black, so if you dress like you belong, they won't treat you like a tourist. I highly recommend you go, every place you go has such history and beauty behind it. And if you do go, I suggest you take a cruise on the Seine at night. I have never known anybody, of any age, who has been there and not liked it.
It's amazing! |

I have just been to Paris in October and it was lovely. My wife and I stayed at Ibis hotel at Charton le Pont which technically is outside Paris. Bus 24 passes right infront of the hotel and in half an hour takes you to the very centre (Place de la Concorde) from where you can catch another bus (or the Hop-on-hop-off) and look around. A central hotel would be much more expensive. |

I was at the Eifel Tower for New Years a few years ago. If you like large crowds and don't mind drunk people then it's definitely a fun thing to do. Personally, I didn't like Paris very much. I found the people were rude (not just a cliche, actually true) and I never felt very safe (knew someone who was mugged there). But, if you like large cities in general and don't mind encountering some anti-americanism then it's a nice place to visit. There are tons of amazing things to see. I'm glad I went but I'm not in a hurry to go back. |

I love Paris, especially for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. What a perfect spot for New Years. I would suggest you go to the top of the Eiffel tower and look out over the city. It's beautiful. Have fun |
