claude monet gardens in vernon
http://giverny.org/transpor/ Giverny is a village located 75 km West from Paris you can go by train or car to discover the famous home & gardens of the Master of Impressionism Claude Monet
Bizy castle in vernon, hidden behind trees that are several hundred years old, offers visitors the pleasure of discovering its park and the majesty of its formal courtyard. Like the castle, the park is classified as a Historic Monument and features a water garden evoking the baroque splendours of the 18th C. The castle was built by Constant d'Ivry for Fouquet,

you can visit the chateau (audio guides included) and stroll around the gardens brilliantly lit by 2,000 candles and to accompany these exceptional moments, recorded classical music is played in the garden to bring a special touch. Castle entirerly furnished. Visits of the state apartments and private cabinets, the dining room on the main floor, the bedrooms and private apartments on the first floor, and the kitchens and cellars in the basement.
Optional visit the frame and the roof and panoramic vue from the top of the dome.

The Eiffel Tower, museums,(the Louvre, for example), Take a cruise down the River Seine and have dinner on the boat, go to one of the flea markets, the Paris Opera house, The Tower of Montparnasse. If you want to venture out of the city you could take the train to the Palace of Versailles to see where Marie Antoinette lived. You'll never forget that.

Don't miss the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur in northern Paris. Also the Tour Montparnasse building is said to be the perfect place to take photos. It is the tallest building in Paris at 689 feet. I believe it was around 10 euro to go to the top when I was there last week.

Day trips:

in addition to the other suggestions; try these - all off the beaten trail:

Auvers sur Oise - by RER; Van Gogh painted here
Senlis - medieval town north of Paris; could be combined with Chantilly and/or St Denis
Provins - another medieval town well preserved; east of Paris
Fontainebleau

Versailles A must!
