When you go into some of the famous old buildings look at the ceilings. The detail in architecture their astounds me. Go to Notre Dame. Le Louvre is the most famous museum in the world. Sacre Couer is really cool, just go with your parents, cuz some of the people around their are a little shady. Riding the metro is must even if it's not the most glamorous. Eating at Cafe's is a vital part of the Paris experience. Champs Elysee (sorry its misspelled) is fantastics |

When I visited France last year, my French friend took me to all the places local people usually go. We took the metro (like underground), we went to some cafes...we had lunch in a park...she did take me to the Effiel Tower...but the whole jorney didn't focus on those 'hot tourist spots' but places where you can really figure out how French pple live...
I think this is the whole point of travelling...I try to avoid going to places which are labelled as 'must-go tourist spots' because you probably see more foreigners than local people...then I'd rather switch on my TV at home and watch a travelling programme.... |

hey i am going to paris too over the summer! but only for a few days cuz i am going all over europe on my senior trip with my school. and then in the spring term of 2008, i am going to study abroad in Paris for 5 months... so as of right now, i am sorry i cannot help you, but in about a year, i will be pro, so i'll be sure to get back to ya :) |
