Which part of France?
That's like saying "what is the zip code of USA"?

Different districts, cities and regions have different codes.

Actually we do have postal codes in Europe. You do need to have a specific address though, or even a city/region will help us answer your question. this online directory for France might help you: http://www.infobel.com/france/

If you mean country code, for phoning, it's +33

It depends on the "region" you want to deal with, for example if it's:
- Lyon: 69007 (for the 7th district)
- Paris would be 75001 (for the 1st district)
- Marseille would be 13008 (8th district)
etc....
hope it helps!

French post codes are only for cities.
France is cut in what we call "départements" and they have numbers from 01 to 96 in the alphabetic order.
Then they are followed by three other numbers that are useful for the post services only and that basically cut the cities in a few parts as well so that the mail can be delivered more easily at a local level.

Let's imagine:

Marc DUPOND
6, rue du Jardin Vert
75016 PARIS
France

>75 is for Paris
>016 is because Paris is cut in "arrondissements", and this guy lives in the 16th.

It's all you need for your letter to arrive for definite.

Q,way
ITS AREA CODES e.g 75 BUT WITH MORE NUMBERS

I think you may need to be a little more specific, i.e. which street in which town in France.

The international abbreviation for France is "FR" if that helps???
