Question for French exchange students who stayed with American families: What made your visit a good one?

We will be hosting two teenagers from France for 10 days. One boy and one girl. They will be sharing a bedroom with our teenage son and teenage daughter respectively.

I would like to hear from French students who have had this experience.
Additional Details
It would be ideal for them to have their own bedroom, but that is not possible with a boy and girl of our own. It was not a requirement in being selected as a host family.

Thank you so far - those of you who have given decent suggestions.

I have never been in this case but I would probably have liked to be explained the way the family lives (time for eating, time for being together, time for being alone, time to go to bed...), to share the everyday life of the other teenagers of the house (if same aged), to discover the area around the house, to feel as if I was at home, to know what to do if I'm hungry, to have time just for me, to be cosidered as a normal member of the family...
I wouldn't have liked to be obliged to do something all the time, to eat all the time, to be asked to take more and more to eat if I have said twice that I'm full, to hear someone talking all the time to me...
To share my room would'nt have been a problem (It would even have been a real enjoyement if the other as friendly).

I was in the opposite situation (American in French family). I can tell you what would have made my visit better: feeling more like a member in the family than a paying guest! Include your exchange students in your normal life. Try to make some traditional American meals. Take them to some cultural things. Show them American high school life (for example, football game with cheerleaders). While they are there to learn English, it might be nice if you take an interest in France and learning French as well. Perhaps one hour per week you could devote to learning some French?

Bon courage!

Sounds dreadful!

I would expect my own bedroom at the very least - being a foreign guest and all.

speak slowly with easy words, if it's possible, make them meet people, do outside things with them.
