Awww i feel for you Nikki!!!

South of France really is a bit iffy just like Northern Spain, weather can always turn nasty as it just isnt far enough South. You really should have looked into the Canary Islands, or Greece if you wanted some guaranteed nice hot sun!!

But i guess you've booked it now, so you'll just have to make the most of it!! I hope it stays nice for you, but if not try and have a good time still, and just remember next time to head somewhere else (Spain)

i just came back from the south of france, it was on and off rain, had a few days of sun, it didnt dampen our sprits

Well I live in France and there has been some very unseasonal weather around. It is expected to start clearing up by next Monday. (French weather reports).
That said, Italy, Austria, Germany and Spain have had some extreme weather occurences lately, so it is not just a local thing

for the same money as france you would have been able to thailand for a couple of weeks, with the weak sterling /euro ........ still have a good holiday.

It's quite obvious you would have been better off going to Blackpool, it's your type of town you don't have to worry about the weather and there is always something to do.

I thought Archachon was west france on the bay of biscay not south france.......anyway everytime i have heard a weather forcast say its hotter in the UK than in lets say Athens its usually complete crap. I have been to west france at this time of year and the south come to think of it and the dodgy weather doesnt hang around for long then it gets tooooooooo HOT !!!!!!

I live in France and there has been really stormy weather recently and really bad flooding in places but the same has been happening all over Europe, not just France. Still that being said you can not really trust on line weather reports they are not at all reliable. Go on holiday and enjoy yourself don't worry about the weather and remember to count yourself lucky even if it does turn out to be rainy, you might only have a bit of a wet holiday, other people have had there houses flooded!
