I went to Italy last spring. It was with work but on my free time it was really nice. If you go to Italy.... I highly reccommend going to Venice. It was an amazing place! So cool! Also, Florence and Pisa were pretty cool too.

If you go to Paris, are you only going to stay in Paris and not see anymore of France?

It depends on how much money you want to spend, and what you want to do.

I would say if money isn't an issue then go to Italy, you can take the train all over Italy, seeing different parts of it. If money is a problem then just stick to Paris.... you can probably get where you need by walking or taking a bus.

Take a translation dictionary with you! They are very helpful at times. Have fun!

well it depends on what you like? If you had time, why not go to Paris for 4/5 days, then take a train into Italy? That way you'd also get to see the french/italian country side.

Italy!!! And then travel to Paris for the weekend. The flights are so cheap when flying country to country over there.

Paris is a city and Italy is a country so this is not a fair comparsion. Depending on how long you will be on vacation possibly you could go to both France and Italy for a tour. The distances are so very close. You can spend an entire week in Paris and still not see many of the sights. I love Paris. But Italy is awesome as well. I've been to Italy but not to Rome which would probably be equally as nice as Paris. Must see sights in Paris are the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Sacre Coeur, Montmartre, Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe, boat tour of the Seine River, riding the Paris metro, Moulin Rouge show, and The Palace of Versailles 40 minutes outside of Paris. I've seen all these sights and highly recommend them to you if you make it to fabulous Paris.

If you can, I would try and split up your days and try to go to both places.

Paris. Gawd, I love that city, the atmosphere, the people, the food and not to mention the shopping! Last time i went there was- eons ago. But im sure i ll visit again sometime near in the future.

i wanna go on vacation too! but im hoping to go to banyan tree resort....

I would go to Paris personally and tie in a trip to the Loire Valley to see the castles... the people are nice... I have visited France over a dozen times and have traveled extensively in that area.

In Paris, people do speak english and are helpful... just be polite and people will be polite back. I always find it amusing how people associate the French with rudeness...

Italy is lovely but it also gets seriously hot there in the summer. If you have like 2 weeks you could easily do both though. Both places are worth seeing. But the French countryside is really lovely and worth checking out.

I went to both of these in 2001 and I personally enjoyed Paris a little bit better. But I liked the food better in Italy. But as far as ambiance and sight-seeing, I liked Paris. So romantic! I loved Notre Dame and the Louve and the Sienne River however you spell it. Just walking arounf I felt like it was my second home.

Go with Italy, you will not be sorry. Italy is much mroe fun...and besides, its not like you couldnt venture over to france if you really wanted to.

definately italy...it has alot more to see.france is nice but i perfer italy and i kno you will also

Just don't forget a translation book if you don't know French. Most people there tend to be a bit anaI when it comes to people who can't speak their language.
