Should I live in or out of Paris?

The place I'm staying is in Rue de Vaugirard and the metro is 100 meters away (hotel name: Novotel Paris Vaugirard -- anyone stayed here before? if you have, how is it?)

But I was supposed to stay in Novotel Paris Les Halles (again. what do you think of this place if youv'e stayed it before?)

In terms of the whole package, which one is better? Vaugirard or Les Halles?

Optional: list pros & cons of each place (higher chance of getting 10 points.. ehem)

I believe you asked a very similar question using a different name: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgFRZAVwXE4rEugR.NICthFm7RR.;_ylv=3?qid=20080512011552AA69ZWe (Unless of course by some uncanny coincidence someone else is torn between the exact same two hotels, which I find fairly improbable.) Both places you've mentioned are in Paris, by the way, but Les Halles is in the center and Vaugirard is not. But Paris is compact anyway so it's a moot point.

Rue Vaugirard has the reputation of being the longest road in Paris. The Novotel is about in the middle.
Les Halles is slap bang in the centre of Paris. Walking distance from Notre Dame, the Latin quarter and of course the Halles quarter. Definitely more fun to walk around in the evening.

Why "in or out Paris"??????

Both of the hotels you mention are in Paris...

they're both near a metro so either is fun. You won't be spending much time there anyway (just sleeping a bit) so doesn't matter.

but:

Les halles is more fun, next to the Forum so very active area and more chances of having sex. There's a big station there so easier to get on RER to go places faster (RER rules!). Lots of restaurants and food too! And the best reason to pick Les Halles: "Destruction des animaux nuisibles ". Google it and go there to take a really great photo (but during the day).

Vaugirard is a bit stuff if you ask me. Residential and not very interesting.
