You should go, it sounds like you'd be missing out if you didn't. To soften the blow with the money, tell your mum that you'll do extra chores around the house or half your pocket money or something of some gain to her. Or just be really nice to her!

Weigh the pro's and con's. If you're ready for a challenge, then help your Mom by devising ways to raise half the money. That way, you'll not only have a great time in france but will appreciate it more and cherish the memory as you'll know you'd have shouldered half the responsibility. Also you'll earn a heap more respect from those older than you s they'll know you helped shoulder the responsibility. Great prefect practice as well.

Yes, but you don't have to. You will have the rest of your life to party in Paris.

Go on and go to France and give your Mum some peace and quiet, plus why can't you pay for some of it out of your pocket money? oh i forgot you spend it all on booze and fags.

as other people have said, you'll never forget it. i went on one when i was 15 (a 4 and 1/2 day trip to paris) and it was amazing, it's one of those experiences i'll never forget, i had so much fun. how often, in your life, are you going to go on holiday with your friends, people all your same age? start saving up

if your mum would like you to have the experience of it, then you should go. i am sure you will get more than just fun out of it. If the money is a bit too much for your mum and she says this, then maybe wait til you're old enough to earn your own and you can visit places with your friends then.

Definitely go. France is an amazing country and it would be a shame to miss out. Enjoy yourself with your friends. I'm sure your Mum won't mind sacrificing the money for you to have a good time. Bon voyage!

Oh you should go. Try to save up and help your Mum with the money. It will be a trip of a lifetime, one you will never forget. I went on my high school trip 30 years ago and still remember it. Maybe you could get a Saturday job to help with costs and so you have some spending money. Go and have fun.

£130 is a reasonable amount to pay for the trip, so from that point of view it's worth it. It seems that the money is the real problem, so think of some ways you can raise the money to go. Get a part-time job for awhile, sell some stuff on ebay. Sell stuff to your friends, I used to always sell records to my mates when I needed money. Offer to do chores for neighbours or family members for say £5 a job. Deliver newspapers. Check the job papers and see what temporary work they have to offer. Possibly ask your Mum is she can pay for half if you can raise the other half.

If you want to go it's up to you to make sure you can afford it.

If you decide it's not worth the hassle of earning the money then don't go. You'll get other opportunities to travel. It's only two days away from your friends, in the long term it won't make a big difference.
