4 days in Nice, 3 in Venice. Venice is quite small and very VERY expensive. After 3 days, you will have seen it all.

Nice is a cool beach town with a lot going on in and around it. Try to get a hotel near the historic part of town if possible. If you want, you could check out surrounding towns as well.

4 days in Nice.
Venice is beautifully but it can get boring after a day or two.

Venice is boring. It's pretty alright, you gotta see it but it gets old very fast once you've seen a few canals and bridges. I'd spend 5 days in Nice and 2 days in Venice DEFINITELY

My Sister just returned from Italy on Saturday...she said Venice was wonderful and that she would've spent more time there if possible...so I think you have the right itenerary at this point....caio!
