Some help with my french?

When your in a clothing shop in france and want to try something on in the dressing room, how do you tell them that?

I was there last summer and it was pretty embarassing because they had no idea what I was talking about.

P.S. I'm in french in school, so I do speak a little french.

All of them would work.

You say : Je peux essayer ?
And the salesman should reply : Oui bien sûr, les cabines sont par là.

"Puis-je l'essayer?" which means "Can I try this on?'

you point at whatever you want to try on and say "puis-je l'essayer?' (may i try it on) and they will show you a cabin!

The answers are:
"Pourrais-je essayer ces habits?" (Could I try these clothes?)
"Auriez-vous une cabine d'essayage? (Would you have a dressing room? -> The 'Can I use it' is implied)

I am going into 9th grade and I've been taking French since Kindergarden! It is a class for me everyday so I do know alot of French!
To say where are the fitting rooms you say:
"Ou sont les cabines d'essayage?"

To say can I try these clothes on you say:
"Puis-je essayer ces vetements?"

Hope I helped :)
