Somebody tell me, please, where to have dinner in Paris in New Years Eve? Not too pricey, please!?

Just about every place in paris has a special dinner on New Year's eve which is known as the "Reveillon de St. Sylvestre."

You might try Le Petit Journal, a very pleasant jazz club and restaruant at 71, boulevard Saint-Michel in the 5th arr. Their website page describing what they are doinbg on New year's is http://perso.orange.fr/claude.philips/PJprogramme.htm

You could also try my personal favorite eatery/nightspot, Aux Trois Mailletz at 56 Rue Galande in the 5th arr. I'm sure something fun will be happening there and the food while not spectacular is good and reasonably priced.

The last suggestion is a bit expensive (tho not by Parisian standards). Le Bon Aloi at 5, rue Sauval in the 1st has really great food and is doing a New year's package that includes dinner (with all the wine you can drink), dancing, champagne, karaoke, and breakfast when the sun comes up for 140 euros per person. Check out their webpage on the subject at: http://www.lebonaloi.com/formule/3112.htm

Just don't be anywhere near the eiffel tower on New Year's Eve. I spent mine there one year and it was insane. Stealing, grabbing, groping, so many people it was a nightmare. Steer clear.

Try to get into Buddah Bar - it's an experience. You can also do The Market - reviews of both of them can be found at http://www.bombasticlife.com
